Ibiza, Vegas, Belgium, Prague, London, Miami, Moscow to me are as ancient as Woodstock, Glastonbury or the New Orleans Jazz Festival when it comes to the today and tomorrow of which Geography will write the next course of History in the world of Music & Festivals.

I am a massive fan of the UAE, and I say this sitting in Bondi at a beautiful cafe watching surfers rise and smash waves under the most breathtaking of Sydney skies. But when it comes to where next for popular culture? It is the UAE.

You would think at times ‘they not like us’ and your damn right, because they do it better.I have watched the pre - expo era and the post - expo era closely. The UAE has rapidly emerged as one of the world’s premier destinations for live music festivals and large-scale entertainment events. With mega music festivals, celebrity performances, and innovative concert experiences, the country has set new benchmarks in tourism-driven entertainment. From Dubai’s massive music spectacles to Abu Dhabi’s Formula 1 concerts, the UAE is becoming a global powerhouse for music tourism.

Having played a large part in shaping the live entertainment industry in South Asia, I have witnessed how the Middle East has strategically positioned itself as a cultural hotspot, attracting the biggest international music icons and pioneering new entertainment formats. UNTOLD Dubai – The Newest Mega Festival‍

100 Artists. They could pick anything from the world they wanted but the genius was in picking, building, recreating a Romanian festival of music. While my personal favourites were PSY & Badshah, the festival featured global headliners like Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, and Major Lazer, the epic proportion of scale is what defines a Mega Festival of today. 185,000 people attended the festival set across 6 stages, the city hosted at least 35 of the worlds top artists for all those days in Dubai. At The Chaos Drop we may be following the next edition very closely to give you sneak peeks back stage and across the festival but this Romanian beauty to me marks the pivot of how Music Festivals will arrive in Dubai so cultures from across the world can attend it at the centre of the world. Ultra Abu Dabhi 2025.

Returning in 2025, Ultra Abu Dhabi is one of the largest electronic music festivals globally. This event is one of the most anticipated events that features some of the best DJs and electronic artists from across the world. It includes stunning stages, great numbers of people, and an incredible vibe, which is why it is one of the best UAE music festivals to visit. Every few months when I sit to write about the State of Music in the region, the codes have evolved at the speed of light.
